Family Vacation, Holiday Villages, South America

This is a lodging house as opposed to a hostel, in “Urbanization” El Recreo. It is only 15 mins to the main bus station and provides a very family friendly environment. Because only a small number of visitors can stay at one time, it feels very exclusive. But because of these unique benefits, it is also a little more expensive than your typical hotel or hostel. Highly recommended for families, or those that want a relaxing, safe location away from the centre of the city.
The staff supply a truly complete service, from cleaning to cooking, yet at the same time the kitchen and laundry is available for those that wish to save a little money. The town centre is about 20 mins, costing an amazingly cheap 2 Soles (60c USD) or go by the insane “combis” and spend only .5 Sol (15c!!!). In the town you will find restaurants, shops for clothing, souvenirs and travel agencies offering great tours of the local archeological areas or the nearby beaches.

I have been to more than ten ski centers over the last five years, but Donovaly is far the best! They have more than 17 km of slopes and lift lines are short even during the peak of the winter season.
As for the food and accommodation it really depends from place to place (I stayed in Sport Hotel). I’d decided for a bit more expensive alternative but It was worth it: Swimming pool and Jacuzzi along with tasty traditional breakfast in the Winter Garden.
I haven’t been to any ski centers outside of Slovakia, but I can recommend this one as the best in the country.
More information about this resort can be found at www.parksnow.sk/donovaly/en/ and about my hotel at www.sporthotel.sk.

Holiday Villages, Leisure
No Comments
This was one of the best holiday villages that I have ever visited. Our visit was between August 30-September 4, 1999. The resort has 7 pools, a very well maintained and clean beach, a generous open-buffet. The package was “all inclusive”; therefore we didn’t even carry our wallet with us.
Rooms were well-maintained, clean, spacious and comfortable.
Facilities were clean and well-maintained.
Suggested for everyone.
