The Slovak Karst, Slovakia
February 19, 2008 Caves, Cities, Europe, Family Vacation, Leisure, Natural Beatuies, Waterfalls No CommentsIt consists of a complex of huge karst plains and plateaus. But the most interesting part are caves. Only Domnica Cave, Ochtinská Aragonite Cave (Ochtinská aragonitová jaskyňa), Gombasek Cave (Gombasecká jaskyňa) and Jasovská Cave (Jasovská jaskyňa) are open to the public. But they’re very interesting.
The biggest cave is Domnica, it’s part of Baradla cave complex also on Hungarian side (the caves crosses the slovakia-hungarian border). There is also possiblity to use a boat on underwater river Styx. That’s very exciting. More information
